Allina Health | Aetna Offers Access to MinuteClinic® at No Cost to the Member*

MinuteClinic services make it easy for members of small group, self-funded plans to receive high-quality, convenient care

MINNEAPOLIS – Employers who choose an Allina Health | Aetna self-funded plan will enjoy a new feature that increases access points to care for their employees.

Now, eligible members can access care right in their neighborhood at no cost to them by visiting MinuteClinic®, a walk-in clinic inside select CVS Pharmacy® and Target stores. In addition to a $0 co-pay, MinuteClinics® provide many other benefits, including:

  • A broad range of services to keep the whole family healthy. MinuteClinic health care providers treat and diagnose a variety of illnesses, injuries and conditions. They can also write prescriptions, when medically appropriate.
  • Extended access to care as MinuteClinic is open seven days a week, including evenings and weekends. Members can walk in or schedule appointments online beforehand. Additionally, they can pick-up their prescriptions on-site.
  • Preventative care, including flu vaccinations, physicals and treatment for medical matters that are not life threatening, such as ear infections and strep throat.

However, such services would be subject to negotiated contract rates. Once the deductible has been met, members will be able to access MinuteClinic services at no cost share.
