New Year, New Digital Care Solutions

Finding ways to connect virtually has been vital as we stay home to keep ourselves and others safe and healthy. While we are apart, we know health care needs can’t take a back seat. 2020 was a year filled with much uncertainty and many challenges however, there is a silver lining, an inspiring and unprecedented level of health care innovation happening all around the globe. 

Because care doesn’t stop, we know that the same ways patients and members have always been treated have to evolve to better serve individuals during these changing times. To align with our mission to deliver a simpler and more connected health care experience, Allina Health | Aetna is excited to offer our members two new innovative digital care solutions and is proud to partner with 98point6 and Hinge Health.

Experience Telehealth with 98point6 

Through the technology and expertise of 98point6, Allina Health | Aetna is now able to offer a text-based virtual care solution. Eligible members and their covered dependents have unlimited on-demand access to virtual, board-certified primary care physicians via an easy-to-use text-based system. Allina Health | Aetna transitioned its telemedicine provider to 98point6 to better meet the evolving needs of our members and help to shape the way they receive primary care. 

If you are feeling sick or have a health concern, 98point6’s doctors are on-demand and ready to help you 24/7. To get started using this new virtual care solution, members can download the free app and create a profile. All 98point6 visits will be offered at no additional cost to the member or their covered dependents. HSA members will be charged a flat $5 fee per visit. 

Virtual Musculoskeletal Care with Hinge Health

As a new way to address the physical needs of our members, Allina Health | Aetna is excited to partner with Hinge Health, the world’s first digital clinic for back and joint pain, to offer members enrolled in our fully insured plans an innovative digital musculoskeletal care program aimed at those with back, knee, hip, neck and shoulder pain. Members have access to virtual, easy-to-do 15-minute exercise therapy sessions, and health coaches, all from the comfort of their own home. Hinge is available for free for Allina Health | Aetna members that meet the criteria for enrollment in the program. Eligible members will receive a free tablet computer and wearable motion sensors that work in tandem with Hinge’s app to give you live feedback during stretches and exercises. Members will also have unlimited access to a personal health coach via text, email, or phone and receive exercise therapy tailored to their condition and schedule.
